Before you start your refinishing project, call the large appliance retailers in your area. Ask if they have an empty refrigerator, freezer, or dishwasher cardboard boxes. When you get the empty box home, cut out one of the sides. Lay the box down with the cut out side facing upward. You now have a free, disposable painting booth.
